| Debbie send some that heat up this way. We have had a cool summer.
I might be able to do a swap after labor day or even later in September. |

| It might be good to get people together now and aim the swap date for mid September that way everyone can get the kiddos off to school and such. |

| What do you swap? Is it just a design or is it a project? It sounds very interesting. What type of project Napkins, pillow cases, Santa stocking, free standing lace??? At the moment I am making little ITH teddy bears for the Sheriffs office for them to put in their cars for kids in distress. They are so greatful I am ashamed I did not think of it sooner. I am making mine out of flannel because they are soft and tactile and will give the little ones something to hold onto during a time of stress. I do say a prayer for the child and the policeman before I hand them in. |

| I don't know to send pictures, but it had to be a freebe from a long time ago. I didn't even know I had it till I searched my designs for something to use. It is a simple little bear like a ginger bread man. You stitch the face and ears then lay another piece of fabric on top and stitch the outline. It does a bean stitch leaving a small opening on the side. You cut it out, turn, stuff and hand stitch the side closed. I do sew a little bow at the neck, not glue because it may come off in their mouth. There was a cow, a cat, bunny and the teddy. The teddy stitched the best. The rabbit stitched well but is harder to stuff because of the ears and having to sew a tail on the back. It just was too much work for so many. I really don't know how many doz I have made but more are needed so...... The in hoop stitching is only about 8 min. The officer at the desk went out and bought baggies so each one is kept clean and seperate. |

| I don't remember where I got the pattern. it had to be a freebie way back when. There was a cow, a cat, a bunny and the teddy. The teddy stitched the best. Very simple design like a ginger bread man. You stitch the ears and face, lay another piece of fabric on top and stitch the out line which leaves a spot that doesn't sew. Take it out the hoop, cut it out leaving about 1/8" seam allowance, turn stuff and sew up the side that didn't sew on the embroidery. The emb. takes about 8 min. I sew a little bow at the neck (no glue because kids put stuff in their mouth and we don't want a choking problem). Any soft fabric would do. I just got gifted with this home-dec flannel and wanted to put it to good use. When I have used up this I will find other to use. LOL |
